What is Han-Bok?

A long time ago, Korean people wore a Han-Bok. All of the people that lived in Korea wore the Han-Bok, but it was weaved difference according to one’s position in society. If a person had a high position, the person wore very high quality clothes such as a fancy, gorgeous, and expensive Han-Bok, but if a person had a lowly position, the person wore a plainly designed Han-Bok. Now, I will introduce about the Han-Bok, which is Korea’s traditional clothing. First, Han-Bok has two kinds of shape for women and men. For example, women wear the Jeogori which is a Korean traditional jacket and the Chima which is a Korean traditional skirt. They have beautiful colors. Men wear the Jeogori and pants, but men also wear several other clothes because they often go out side such as work, and study in other places or trip. Next, these days we mostly wear the Han-Bok at festivals and celebrations. For instance, when we have a wedding day, a bride, a groom and their family wear them during the wedding ceremony. Also, we wear them when we have holiday such as New Year and Korea’s Thanksgiving. In addition, on a baby’s first birthday, they should wear the Han-Bok. Last, there is a small difference in shape between the past and the present. For example, we wore the original Han-Bok in the past, but these days Koreans, do not like them because they think, the Han-Bok is uncomfortable and expensive. So, they change their design, and quality of fabrics. It looks comfortable and reduces the burden of wearing them. In conclusion, I introduced about the Han-Bok, which is the traditional clothing of Korea. The Han-Bok has different shapes for women and men, and its shape and fabric have evolved over time. Also, when Korean people have festivals and celebrations, they usually wear the Han-Bok.

Curriculum in Saudi Arabia and Korea

Saudi Arabia and Korea are great countries in education, but they have several similarities and difference in curriculum. The first similarity is related to subjects that academic and nonacademic in elementary school and high school. For example, both Saudi Arabian and Korean students take math, science, society and their own language. In addition, Saudi Arabia students take Islamic history and geography too, but Korean students do not study those subjects in elementary school. In high school, Saudi Arabia students take the same subjects as in elementary school, plus gymnastics, chemistry and English. Also, Korean students take the same subjects as elementary school, plus English and history. In addition, Korean students study music, art, and physical education. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia students do not take music. Another similarity soncerns the hours students in Saudi Arabia and Korea must spend on homework. In both countries, students have from 1 to 3 hours of homework each day. While Saudi Arabian students study 7 hours each day and 5 days per week, Korean students study 9 hours each day 6 days per week. Last point of difference related to the environment. The two countries have different teachers for each subject in school. Both countries have two exams per semester. However, Saudi Arabian students have to pass the exams in order go to the next grades, but in Korea, they do not need to pass the exam. In conclusion, Saudi Arabia and Korea have two similarities and one difference between their curriculum systems. Both countries have very similar subjects and environment, but their study hours are very different.

     Vacation in Alaska and Hawaii is different in several ways and the same in others.  First, there are a lot of accommodations in Alaska and Hawaii. For example, accommodations in Alaska very from basic to luxury, but these hotels have quite good of quality. Similarly Hawaii has a wide range of excellent hotels and condos from luxury to budget priced too. Next Hawaii has many beautiful places. Similarly Alaska has attractive areas too. For instance, Hawaii has Volcano National park and Waimea Canyon, and it has a lot of beautiful beaches. Also Alaska has the Chuhach Mountains and Mount Mckinley, and the glaciers in Alaska are awesome. Last, Hawaii is hot and humid. On other hand, Alaska’s weather is seldom rainy during the summer. If you want hot weather during summer, you won’t like Alaska’s weather better than Hawaii’s, so you have to go to Hawaii. To sum up, there are showing different in several ways and the same in others of vacation in Alaska and Hawaii. If you select a place, you will not regret it, and you can have good time during on your vacation.

How to Kill a Houseplant(Fix)

     If you want to kill your houseplant, you should follow these steps. First, you can bring goats and cows into your house. For example, goats and cows will eat your plants quickly because they eat grass. Before you bring goats and cows, you should ask to proprietor because they will make noisy, and your neighbors will be angry. Second, you should not give your plants water. Plants want water twice a week, so you can leave your house for three months, and your plants will be made dry. If you do not leave your house, you can feed hot water, coffee, and soda to your houseplant. After that the houseplant will die. Last, you can set your house on fire. For instance, you can fill all the house with gasoline and light. Also, you can turn on your oven during your vacation. In conclusion, these steps show how to kill a houseplant.

The View from Living Room Window for My House

     When I observed a view from living room for my house, I could watch different kinds of funny animals. For example, I heard bird’s voices when I woke up in the morning. They looked like they were singing songs, and they had conversations to each other. I also saw families of ducks. They always moved together, and they had great time because they looked happy. Also, I saw small and big rabbits. When I saw these rabbits, they were usually chewing something. One of the rabbits looked chubby. The rabbit had big cheeks, but the rabbit was very cute, and it had beautiful gray hair and nice ears. Then I saw yellow cat. Actually, my housemate had a yellow cat named Bisco. So, I was surprised when I saw the cat outside of my house. They looked very similar. Brisco has yellow eyes, but the cat had blue eyes. After a few days, my friend and I were watching TV. Suddenly, Brisco ran up to the living room window, so I went to the living room window too. Then I could see the cat. At that time, the cat could see us, and the cat ran to our window. So, Brisco and the cat looked like fight because they got angry, but I did not know why they got angry. My friend said, “They saw each other a first time, and Brisco never went outside, so he never saw another cat. I think, he was surprised about another cat”. I think so, too. It was his first experience. To sum up, you will visit my house you can see interesting animals from living room window of my house.

     This looks like a happy winter picture. On the top of the picture, there is a pine grove and a house. The green of the pine grove looks fresh, and the house has a chimney. The house was made by red bricks. On the left side of the middle in picture, two children a boy and a girl ride a sled. Sleds were made of wood and iron bars. Both the children wear wooly hats and scarves, and the boy rides the sled behind the girl. He is smiling a lot, but she is afraid of rides. She is not smiling, and she grasp the strap of the sled. Right side of bottom of the picture, a dog ran with the boy and girl. The dog's hair is brown, and it has white paws. Also, the dog was enjoying running with the sled. The whole picture has a white back ground because there is a lot of snow. It looks very clean. To sum-up, the boy and the dog like the ride, but the girl is scared of the ride. However, they really enjoy the snowing winter, and the picture looks happy and warm.

Steps to being a successful IECP student.

     There are several steps to being a successful IECP student. If you follow my ideas, you ca be successful while you take classes at the IECP. First, you should make foreign friends. For example, when you were in the classrooms, you can talk to your classmates about today's weather, what do you want after class, and a subject of study. Also, you should participate in IECP programs. IECP has several different activity programs. If you take advantage of activity programs, you can make different friends. Second, you have goals about your future, so you should study hard. For instance, you have to do homework everyday. Teacher give homework everyday to improve your English skills, so you should do your homework on your own. Then during class, you should ask your teachers about any questions you may have. Teachers answer when you ask something because they want to answer questions. Also, you can take a TOEFL test once a month. It is very useful to practice your TOEFL test skills. Last, you should not be tardy or absent. You have to follow IECP rules. When we attended the class in each course, teachers explained about attendance, so you should perceive the IECP rules and read a syllabus again. Next, you should take care of your health. Sometimes people get sick because the are experiencing different food, weather, amd environment from their country. To sum-up, there are several steps to being successful at the IECP. If you do these ideas, you can complete IECP study.

Summary of Can Animals Think?

     In the FY1 article, "Can Animals Think?", Karen Blanchard said that many scientists observe intelligence animals understand new situations, make decisions, and plan ahead. A chimpanzee named Dandy could make plan and trick another chimpanzee, and a heron could make and he use tool, and a parrot named Alex  uses language to communicate with his trainer,and an octopus could watch another octopus and learn from it. Also, a gorila named Timmy could fall in loves aother gender. In summary, the scientists have observ many animals can think, and they are intelligent.

Summary of EU OKs Mobile Phones on Planes

     In the BNE article, "EU Oks Mobile Phones on Planes", Sean Ban Ville said European airplane passengers can use their cell phones in the skies, so they become the first area using phones while they are on the planes. On the other hand, not everyone likes using cell phones on planes. So, EU should make etiquette rules on plan flight, because some passengers want to quiet flight. Also, this includes encourage to use text messaging or banning calls when they fly flight at night. To sum-up, people flying in Europe can use cell phones during flights, and first in the world. However, they should keep etiquette rules. Because cell phone use on planes can make trouble, people should obey flight etiquette.

Music groups wear different types of clothing

Music groups wear different types of clothing for various reasons. First, punk musicians have their own fashion. For example, they usually wear ripped clothing ,and they wear dirty clothes because they want to be like homeless people. They also have spiked hair, so they look like crazy people. In addition, they wear safety-pin jewelry because they want to be cashmoney, and they want to be famous people. Second, hip-hop musicians have their own fashion. For instance, they usually wear hooded sweaters because they want to be stronger people. Then they wear big and floppy hats because they want to be cool people. Also, they wear Do-rags around their head because they want to be like John Sena, a wrestler. Last, grunge musicians have their own fashion. Because they want to be like pioneer people, they have long and straight hair. They even wear heavy boots, so they can use a pedal when they play music. In summary, three different groups of musicians have three different styles of cloth.

How to Make Foreign Travel

     These days people take a lot of foreign travel, so how to make foreign travel enjoyable of several ways. First of all, maybe people should make plans. For example, they should decide places that counties or regions to visit. Then they decide how much money to spend  for their travel. Second, people should collect information about their travel. For instance, they should find foremost tourist attractions, public transportation, and restaurants. Also, they should learn history, language, and culture about where they will visit. Third, people should not worry about a job or school during travel. In addition, they should make some foreign friends instead of worrying about something of their hometown. During travel, they should take photos and enjoy their experiences wherever they are. In summary, if they follow those suggestions, they can experience enjoyable travel.

The Good Brothers.

     A long time ago, two kind-hearted and diligent brothers lived in a village. The older brother and youger brother helped each other and worked very hard. They raised rice, and they divide the rice equally between them. At night, the older brother thought, "My youger brother just got married, so I should help him out". During the night, the older brother began to pour his rice into his youger brother's barrel, but the youger brother did not know about this. Meanwhile. the youger brother thought, "My older brother is taking care of our parents, so he will need more rive than I do. I should help him out". During the night, the youger brother also began to pour his rice into his older brother's barrel.The next day, both brothers were surprised to see their own barrel's full or rice. Both brothers knew that something was wrong. That night they decided to try again. The brothers spent the night going back and forth with their rice. Suddenly the brothers ran into each other in the middle of the road. Then they understood their situation. From that day on, the brothers continued to help each other and to work hard, so they lived happily ever after.

A Person Who Has Made a Difference : My Professor

A Person Who Has Made a Difference : My Professor in my college

My Professor changed my choice about job. She gave advice to me. I studied Early Childhood Education in my college. My Professor taught Korean traditional music. So, I learned from her. She always look happy and vivacious. When we got together, I felt happy, too. After graduation, I worked as an assistant in my college. I met her again. I had a lot of worry about my future job because I didn't want more work in my office, at that time. And then, she said, "If you want to change your job, you can change! Because it is your life. Nobody can't  push your choice". I had restor confidence. She also said, "Enjoy your life". I envy her, because she always tried to studied new something. I changed my mind. When I finished my job,  I studied English, because I want to get a new job, a job that i want! She made me a new person. I enjoyed the time when we got together. I haven't seen her at all from that graduation, but I always think her. She gave advice to me, and she changed my choice about job. I'm really thankful for her.
